I love doing my meditations! I tried every kind of meditation on my spiritual journey and could not get enthusiastic about any of them. I went to a Zen retreat one weekend in the long, long ago and it was a nightmare. It was the kind where you sit totally still for hours and if you move at all or worse yet, fall asleep, someone whacks you with a stick. Sorry, that did not work for me.

When I finally realized it was because I totally believe that movement is a major key to health then I stopped asking myself to meditate.
I spontaneously started doing spoken meditations in bed in the morning before I got up. I was just talking to Source, making my commitments for the day and speaking my appreciations. My days started working so much better I could hardly believe it.

So I have a free meditation for you to try out for yourself. I thought I’d give it to encourage newletter signups but I really don’t like that carrot stuff. So here it is, try it and see if you like it. If you do then right click to download it to your computer and do it every morning. It’s just under 6 minutes, if you don’t have enough time for that then you need to reorganize your life πŸ˜‰

Here is the explanation for those of you who will be having a new adventure:

This is a basic form of the meditation I do every morning. It starts my day off right.

You don’t have to sit in any special way except try to keep your spine erect, you can do that with pillows. You could lie down but you might go back to sleep πŸ˜‰

My word for God, Universal Spirit etc, is Source. You can substitute anything that resonates for you in your own head.

The chakra system is pretty widely known now but here’s a quick rundown on my way of experiencing it, there are many ways;

We have 7 chakras in our body’s energy field within the actual body, there are others above the body. They are seen as spinning circles of different colors of light. And there are many different interpretations of each chakra. This is the one that I resonate with.

The one at the crown, top of the head, connects us to Source.

The third eye, between the eyebrows, connects us to our inner knowing, our intuition, our connection to the unseen.

The throat connects us to our voice of power, when we are speaking our truth.

The heart connects us to everything in all the worlds.

The solar plexus, below the ribs, is both our power center and our emotional center.

The sacral, above the pubic bone, is our center of self-love, sacred sex, sensuality and creativity. It is from here that we create our lives as we wish.

The root chakra, at the base of our spine, connects us to this earth, right NOW and our purpose for being here.

Just listen and let it flow through you, following along with all the openings and see what you feel in your own body, if anything πŸ˜‰ Don’t worry that you don’t know how to do it. Your body knows and opens when it hears my words. You don’t have to DO anything except breathe and stay present.

I will have more specific meditations later on for healing and other purposes. This is the one that says β€œI am willing to walk into my day, open and ready to move into the bigness of who I am.”
